How do I create an account?

Shofer is an on-demand platform provided for iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) devices.

To create an account you must first download the Shofer application from your app/play store.

Once downloaded you can open the Shofer app and following the screens below, you should be able to setup your account.

Step 1. Signup!

  

Did you know that if you're an RAC member you can get 10% off EVERY ride you take with Shofer? Simply enter your membership number in the above section, accept the T's & C's and tap Sign Up.

You can sign up with either a new account that you create manually or you can signup using Facebook. Shofer only obtains your firstname, last name and your profile picture from your Facebook account, nothing else.

Step 2: Phone Verification

Your phone number should display closely to the one in the picture.

If your number doesn't appear like this, click edit, correct your number and try again.

You'll then receive an SMS from SHOFER with a 4 digit pin. This can take up to 90 seconds to come through but is usually much quicker. Enter the pin and click confirm.

You'll then be able to move to step 4.

Step 4: Credit Card addition & Authentication

At Shofer, we take your privacy details very seriously, credit card especially. We utilise a 3rd party payment gateway which uses AES-256bit encryption for storage of your information. This means that no one can view/obtain your credit card details.

As Shofer is an on-demand system, we require that you have your credit card details saved on file.

Shofer accepts: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (Amex).

Shofer does not accept: Diners, Paypal, Eftpos cards.

Enter your details and click "save payment details".

This will then go off and verify your card details.

Note: Shofer utilises pre-authorisation technology in an attempt to avoid credit card fraud. This means that we'll debit on pre-auth only a $1 fee. This is returned straight away but can take 5 days to clear. You can read more about pre-authorisation here: Authorisation Hold Info

Note: If you select "I'll provide these details later" you will not be able to request a ride with Shofer. Even with vouchers we require credit card information on file in case you go over the value of your ride voucher.

Step 5: Signup Complete!
